Your whole house,
on one wall.

Your solar, battery, heat pump and car charger each came with their own app. We connect them so they work as one, and put it all on a single board in your kitchen. Then we look after it.

  1. Six apps that don't talk to each other.

The inverter knows about the sun, the charger knows about the car, and the heat pump knows the house is cold. None of them know what the others are doing.

  2. One board on the wall.

We connect everything to a small hub in your house and give it a face: a colour e-ink board that looks like a print and reads from across the room.

The detail is on your phone when you want it.

  3. 23:15

    The house gets ready overnight.

While you sleep, the battery fills and the car charges, timed to suit your tariff. In the morning the board tells you it's done.

  4. 05:00

    Warm before anyone's up.

When frost is forecast, the heat pump warms the house early. On mild mornings it leaves the house alone.

  5. 13:10

    Watch the sun at work.

The board shows what your roof is making right now. On a good day it suggests putting the washing on, so it runs on your own power.

  6. 21:40

The bit your friends ask about.

What the roof made today, and how much of the house ran on it. It's on the wall, so it tends to come up at dinner.

  7. 17:30

Evenings run on your own power.

The battery is saved for the evening, so the busiest hours of the day come from your roof, not the grid.

  8. 14:10

When something needs attention, it says so.

If the inverter drops off the Wi-Fi or an app logs itself out, we get the alert and usually fix it remotely. The board tells you it's in hand.

You only hear from us when something needs you.

    A short letter every month.

What the house made and used, what we changed, and anything worth knowing. In plain English, with honest numbers.

Example scenes, based on our pilot home and its tariff.

Made for your house.

No two installs are the same. Before we start, we decide with you what your board shows and what the house should take care of on its own.

Energy stays at the centre. Most people add a few things of their own:

  • Bin day
  • Tide times for a morning swim
  • The next DART into town
  • Rain before the school run
  • Sunset tonight
  • Who is home
  • Your best solar day this year

And it can change whenever you like. Just send us a message.

How it works

1

A consultation on WhatsApp

Send us photos of your kit and a recent bill, then we have a short call. Within a few days you get a written plan for your house: what we'll connect, what it will do, and what it costs. No obligation.

2

Installation and handover

Usually a day, done tidily. Then a handover evening: we hang the board and show the whole family how it works.

3

Looked after

We fix faults, keep it updated, change the schedules when your tariff changes, and send you a short report.

If it has an app, it can probably join in.

Tested in a pilot home first.

A Dublin semi with a heat pump, solar panels and an electric car, on a night, day and peak tariff. A battery goes in this October.

  • 66% of the winter bill was the heat pump. When it runs matters more than anything else.
  • 18c is what you earn for exporting solar. So filling the battery from the sun is barely cheaper than filling it at night.
  • 2 days a week the free solar forecast was badly wrong. So a forecast never makes a decision that could cost you money.

Questions

Will this save me money?

Some, and the monthly report shows exactly how much. In our house it is a few hundred euro a year. Most people value the rest more: one board instead of six apps, and someone who notices when something stops.

Does the board need wiring?

No. It runs for about three months on a charge and charges over USB-C, like a phone. Or we can run a thin cable to it.

What if I cancel?

Give us 30 days notice. Everything we installed is yours and keeps working. We hand over the logins and a note of how it is set up.

Do you install solar panels or heat pumps?

No. We connect and run what you already have, or are about to get. If you are still choosing an installer, we can recommend some.

Is my data sent to the cloud?

It stays in your house, on a small box you own. We connect to it over an encrypted link, which you can switch off at any time.

Which areas do you cover?

South Dublin and north Wicklow for now: roughly Ranelagh to Greystones. If you are further out, ask anyway.

What is Home Assistant?

The most popular open-source smart home system. It works with thousands of devices, and any installer who knows it can take over from us.
